Warbirds (currently P-51, BF-109, FW-190, and Spitfire) have radios with a set of crystals for determining the radio frequencies on which they can operate. Theses can only be changed on the ground during maintenance by the ground crew, in reality, and not at all during the game, which is okay.

Currently in the ME to set the channel frequency you have to click on the airfield with which the AC wishes to communicate, note its VHF frequency, then return to the AC and set one of the channel slots to this frequency.

It would be terribly user-friendly if the radio channel setting had a pull-down menu with a list of the names of the airfields and their frequencies, which could be used to set the channel frequency, as well as the current number setting.

You would need to maintain being able to set the channel frequency manually by entering a number for setting it to an AWACS or JTAC or whatever.

Where are channel frequencies for the airfields of the Normandy map located?

In the ME click on an airfield to see its transmission frequencies.

Your illustrations themselves show more than a "single-digit" on the airplane, and 6 digits on the airfields for radio frequencies (3 before the decimal point and three after, with no leading zeros).
