TACAN A/A on wingman

Hi,

So me and my wingman split our TACAN 63 channels apart (Y1 and Y64).. So we get the distance between each other but not the direction. Is this supposed to be like this? Or are we missing something?

TL;DR : fighter to fighter tacan only provide range.
