I just was working on some textures for the m2000 and noticed that the specular file for the fuel tanks has no impact on how the tanks actually look in game...I have no idea why? ¿? ¿... thing is I havent EVER saw ann image of the m2000 with speculars on the fuel tanks but the file is there, just nothing changes when you edit it (any of the RGB channels)... whats wrong with this? of course tried with the general file in the textures folder of the m2000 and in specific skin folder... nothing, just matt and mutted ext. tanks...

After messing a bit with the "edm extractor", Im starting to think that the problem might be that the file for the external tanks (M2KC_6Specular.bmp) is not being recognized due to the missing entry in the *edm files??...

 

Once extracted all the *edm files of the "shapes" folder of the m2000, I found that in the tanks models as well as the m2000 model files there are these 2 entries:

 

--{"ext6", 0, "m2kc_6t", true};

--{"ext6", 1, "m2kc_6t_bump", true};

 

BUT, there is no entry for the specular texture which I guess should be something like this:

 

--{"ext6", 2, "M2KC_6Specular", true};

 

Also, all tanks model files aims to the same texture file...

 

Can anyone with skinning knowledge help me a bit here...
