Doing some research about the GRID North and true North It appears to me that the Distance Calculated by the INS, beteween two points are different to the distance Measured on the F10 Map.

I tested some value:

Latidude (fix):

W00 N 40:00.00

W01 N 40:09.99 <-- 09.99 and not 10.00 because of a bug changing automatically 10.00 to 09.99.

longitude :

On both WP ( W00 and W01) I use the same longitude value to have a true south to north vector.

  • Longitude ________Distance INS (Nm)_______Distance Calculated(Nm)

  • E 30:00.00________9.74__________________10
  • E 33:00.00________9.82__________________10
  • E 34:00.00________9.85__________________10
  • E 42:00.00________9.88__________________10.05
  • E 45:00.00________9.94__________________10.09
  • E 50:00.00________10.07_________________10.18
  • E 78:00.00________11.68_________________11.43
  • E 80:00.00________11.84_________________11.57
  • E 90:00.00________12.86_________________12.47

To know how I calculated the distances :
