Hi Auto, finding the right settings for the specular textures to work well are so far a bit fiddly, each skin is different so the spec settings are a bit different, im messing around at the moment with all my Spit skins , its a bit of a trial an error at the moment, the point is you have to find that "sweet spot" for each individual skin. Thats what i have found anyway.

Thanks for the help Strut, I have already customized the SPEC tex, but the main problem is how the skin reacts at the different options of the sim: deferred shading on, deferred shading off & HDR off, deferred shading off & HDR on, GAMMA slider...

About deferred shading, do you know if the model of spitfire has been updated so far with the appearance of DCS 2.1 for the support of deferred shading and PBR textures?

Auto, the only way i have seen so far to adapt to the two main options ( as i see) Deferred shading and HDR, is what Tom Weiss over at Lockon files ( http://www.****************/?_fromLogout=1) is doing, he makes skins with two specular textures , so you have to replace one or the other depending on if you use DS or HDR. It works but basically you have two skins versions of everything - HDR and DS. Im messing around trying to see if there is a setting that will serve both options, not having much luck though.

As for the gamma slider, people will be different in their settings, so i generally have my setting on about 1.7 hoping that most people are similar. And as for your last question, i dont know, i suspect it is, but cant say for sure.
