Ulcerate Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 I bought the Viggen module a few days ago and I'm having a great time figuring out all the functions, procedures etc..., great job Heatblur for this nice aircraft! I noticed on the ELINT database thread by GRUNF that ALL radars are operating in the Alpha or Bravo band. Will this stay this way or is it work in progress to give all radars a more realistic bandwidth, for example : most trackingradars in real life operate in the Kilo-band or higher, early warning radars A/B/C-band,... I'm asking this because if you use the U22/A ECM pod, the bandwidth selector mode knob in the Viggen goes from F to K (excluding I) So you could potentially jam one of these bands, however if you compare it to the ELINT database, this is kind of useless because all radars in DCS are A or B-band.
RagnarDa Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Yeah the letters doesn't refer to common radio bandwidths. "A" on the recorder is 3-6,5Ghz and "B" is 6-25Ghz. The selector knob for the U22 and U22/A in the cockpit selects different modes of operation, actual bandwidth is selected by ground crew on the pods itself. DCS AJS37 HACKERMAN There will always be bugs. If everything is a priority nothing is.
