rge75 Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 When I finished mission 20 and I missed the "You can quit the mission now" when I landed at the base. So I flew to the other 2 bases as well...but no matter where I landed - it never told me I can exit the mission. Sure, there was that text "this is how the mission ends" (or something like this) before you RTB. But it was not clear if you can now exit or not. In the end, I thought it probably doesn't matter and I simply exited. So yes, the mission was counted as success. But it's confusing to not have this message because it occured on all the other 19 missions. My DCS videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJX2av4UE4xqWto3y8EZWMw [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Martyn Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 I finished the campaign yesterday and can only agree with your comments. The lack of a 'mission completed' message is not so helpful. I flew back to Shpora where I started, as per the mission plan, but noticed that flights 101 and 102, who I followed out to the target area, actually flew back to Skala where we were based for most of the campaign. If not for this thread, I probably would have taken off again and returned there too. Overall, it was a great campaign. The biggest frustrations were the AI helicopter's inability to anticipate hills, making the formation flights hard work. But that's a core game issue.
rge75 Posted November 14, 2017 Author Posted November 14, 2017 Oh yes, their harsh changes of speed and altitude didn't make it easy to follow them. Congratulation on finishing the campaign. My DCS videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJX2av4UE4xqWto3y8EZWMw [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
