VAF [136] Striker Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Is there a way to set the default map position or airbase faction settings? When I open the editor it says "new mission.miz" on the bottom. Is there a file that can be saved as the default file or is this written into the code and not changeable? Exorcet Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 When you click New Mission, on the nation select page there should be a save option which I believe makes your current split of nations by coalition the default. As far as airbases go, I just assign all the airbases to nations for a given situation and save that mission as a template. The downside is that until ED re-enables the ability to change coalitions after mission creation, you will have to edit the coalitions in a text editor if you want to make changes. VAF [136] Striker Posted September 8, 2017 Author Posted September 8, 2017 I appreciate the information but I was asking if there's a way to change any of the parameters of the default mission that opens when you start the editor. It's a little nit picky but I would like the map to be centered a little better and have some of the airbases already preset to red or blue sides. Maybe some other stuff as well. I know I can just create an empty mission that's set up the way I want it. It's just an extra step I would like to bypass.
