Ok so I might have a possible fix but I don't have enough knowledge about DCS files to make it work.

Ok so right now the collimating site is all screwed up in VR because DCS head location polling is screwed up. Basically, this means that you have to sit way back to be able to zoom in on targets with the culminating site. But this makes the picture of the site REALLY small so its a catch 22.

From what I can tell though trackir is fine. Lean into the site and it zooms in just fine.

So I figured I would try using VR with TrackIR (really I am using opentrack with the oculus for the location information). That way the game would get the correct info from the trackIR input. Problem solved?!?!?! Well kinda, even though I have my trackIR set for 1 for 1 movement the game is translating it into something else and I got horribly sick REALLY quick (I am talking 15 sec quick).

So if we can find a way to make DCS world to stop superimposing movements over trackIR we might have a workaround till they actually fix VR head polling.

Anyone have any ideas?

P.S. I know I harp on this bug all the time but really without that sight, the Viggen is not much of a replacement for ground attack (normal ground attack, not ships).

Also now that I think about it if heatblur could reverse the calculations for the sites zoom it would do the same thing. Find some way to say that the head is actually getting closer to the site when it thinks its getting farther.

The only solution is for ED/HB to work a fix in on their end. Although you’re using the VR headset as input, the TrackIR API was never made for 1:1 absolute input and it doesn’t coexist with VR in DCS. I have a Vive, I’ll check what happens on my end today if I have time and possibly record video of it

Confirmed sight scaling isn't as expected on Vive as well on 1.5.7. Don't have a TrackIR type device to test on, but it's not as seen in youtube videos such as John's tutorial on RB-75. Can provide video for Devs on request at least to check if it's expected behaviour.
