Watching mission track updates campaign progress?

Is this intended behavior of the playback feature? I had just started a campaign, completed the 1st mission (100% success), then chose "watch track". After a few minutes, I hit "quit" again. It showed 50% success on the playback (?). But now the campaign progress shows I've flown two missions with 75% success when in fact I've only flown one mission, one time.
