Hi, this is a noob question as I'm still learning and I don't understand what has happened

I was playing the second mission, called to monitor the Mig29s and Su24s, and I engage them in response to their attack. After splashing the Migs and only one Su24 I decided to divert to Kutaisi using the new option available to refuel and rearm, as I didn't know if later on I might need it. I landed, parked and let the ground team do their job, take off and resume my route.

I didn't realized my wingman was not by my side, and some time later I hear radio communication of him ejecting. I'm looking the Tacview track and it seems he landed as well but instead of parking he perform some odd route (I think it was on the ground) off-road until he crashed.

Most probably it was my fault because I missed to give some order via radio or something. When I diverted I just contacter Kutaisi and landed, and then requested permission to start engines, taxi and take-off; I didn't communicate with my wingman or anyone else.

Did I miss something? What might have happened?

PD: I have attached the tacview file compressed in a .rar, in case someone is bored enough to give a look :)

Hey Darcaem; you can use the radio menu to issue the order: FLIGHT -> GO TO -> RTB and he should make it down without messing himself. He might have also bumped into some AI scenery at the airbase, or simply run out of gas while taxiing to parking.

Good news is there's no penalty for you if your wingman is shot down or runs out of fuel. :)

Enjoy the rest of the campaign!

EDIT: Watched the TacView; it seems he is trying to taxi to a parking spot but then ejects; my suspicion is that he did indeed run out of fuel. Once the AI has landed, they can't take off again; you're also good to exit the mission once you land at Kutaisi, with a score of 100. If you divert, we assume the ferry flight takes place between the end of this mission and the beginning of the next. You can hit the ' key at any time to check your results. Anything over 50 is considered mission success, and you will progress to the next mission in the campaign even if you don't successfully land the aircraft.

True, it give the mission as success. I didn't know that once landed, the AI can't take off again, I'll keep that in mind

Thank you very much!
