Ganeshka Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 (edited) Hello ! I was modding my Microsoft stick and realize that is no shaking at all on a10c :joystick: Compared to Spitfire ... Ok there is hydraulic on a10c ... but there is no GUN shaking and Stalling effect ... only trimmer and that's all . If this possible to fix this manual ? And if i turn off hydraulic on emergency panel , it must feel like on Spitfire ? Because i turn off assist . And one more , i was make power mode but i decide to add +1 more resistor on top . Standart power mode is 1 extra resistor on 8 resistors on the board , right now i have +2 resistor on each and its work perfect with WARTHOG grip !!! But my FFB in open case and i will make new for it . There is now overheating of motors , everything i think is same !:pilotfly: Edited October 31, 2017 by Ganeshka
dot Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 I asked abut this, but got very quick "this is how it should be" answer. I also have no force feedback in F15 sadly, so I mainly fly with Russian aircraft's. I'm also thinking of modding Microsoft FF2 + Cougar stick, do you have any pics of your setup? Maybe F18 add on will hopefully have FF implemented, which will impact my decision whether to buy it or not.

dot Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Nice work! I'm also in a middle of my simulator build, but more on that some other time. Hopefully ED guys will come back and answer about force feedback. As always, I'm happy to quote flight manuals of various US aircraft and show that force feedback is very important (even in modern jets).
Weta43 Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 My understanding of the reasoning is that the hydraulic actuators mean that the gun (or a stall) shakes the plane, not the stick... (if you somehow took the pilot out and fired the gun, the stick wouldn't move) Something like a spitfire - you're the hydraulics. You shake the plane, you shake the stick. Cheers.

Sadist_Cain Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 (edited) Seeing as no one has answer this yet. As I understand it the A-10C stick only provides FFB when in landing configuration, that is reflected in the Sim. So flaps down to 30, landing gear down and you'll get the stick shaking hard to warn of an impending stall. I *think* when using manual reversion controls that you'll get changes in some of the feedback, cables and pulleys attaching the elevator if I remember right and feedback from the electric motors controlling the trim tabs though I may be wrong there. Certainly gives me stall shake in the landing config though, very useful to bring it down smooth as silk :) Edited April 7, 2018 by Sadist_Cain
