new build, trouble linking to .diff.luas

Hi, wondering if anyone can help me. I've built a new rig (1700x, 1080ti if you're curious) and have thrown in my old drive with DCS on it to spare re-downloading a craptonne of things including DCS on my rural internet. DCS runs fine, but isn't seeing my keybind files. It sees my missions just fine.....

 

Now I have a new username on the new build, and ofc my OS and user directory are now on the new main drive, which isn't my old drive. I have copied the entire contents of the save game folder to the new drive, and a copy remains on the old drive. I have also created a copy on the old drive with the new user name, thinking one of these should be seen by DCS, but no-go. I manually re-entered my controls on all my birds and as soon as I clicked OK in the settings upon completion, DCS crashed, and I really don't want to go through all that again, so....

 

Does anyone know how to get DCS to recognize my new user name or otherwise find my keybind files? Is there a config file I can edit?

I think DCS may have "renamed" your controllers/keyboard so it cant read the old .diff.luas. I have saved the post that describes the fix. I'll try to dig it up when I get home.

Got it. You need to change the file names to match the new device IDs.
