hideki2 Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 (edited) Hey! I am flying in VR. The HUD is practically invisible 2.1 in daytime, even on the brightest setting. The HUD is also too dim in Su 25 by default but there the brightness can be adjusted much higher up which eliminates the problem. Edited November 23, 2017 by hideki2
spetsnaz26 Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 It's still a Problem. In VR the symbology is really dim against a variety of backgrounds. I strain to see reticles and numbers there. Taking a screenshot in VR doesn't illustrate the program because the screenshot output looks better than in game VR.
Zabuzard Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 You can try to change the color of the HUD. Before 2.5 many did that for the A-10 (because of the HDR issue black was used instead of green to read against white clouds). I actually tried it once with the Viggen. It's not that easy because of the glow effects. I got it to a point where I changed the base color, but the glow was still kind of green. And if I changed the glow color, I could see some strange scribbling lines. Looks like the glow effect is a bit strange. Actually, you can see it already with the default colors if you zoom in. It's green color mixed with some blue and yellow scribble.
