Hideout - Tanker flies too fast

On the single player mission Hideout, the tanker flies too fast. It was at the end of the mission, I was completely Winchester and down to about 2000lbs of gas, thought I'd hit the tanker before heading home. Nope, at 25000 ft I topped out at 230kts indicated, and the tanker just walked away. The A10 doesn't get much faster than when it's clean and light (I'd even jettisoned all my empty racks), and I still couldn't catch it.

 

Also, of fairly minor note because stupid AI mistakes are prevalent everywhere, the wingman promptly wanders into Russia and gets shot down by the SA-11 as soon as you tell him to attack anything...
