Boner Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Hey Mates! As a veteran Falcon/BMS simmer going back to the night it went gold with Gilman, I have for two years now tried to get my head into the bucket of the sim with DCS. I have hours in the A-10C, MIG-21bis, and F-5E. Up until the last mission in the AV-8B, there has never been the moment when I was "There" and it felt like I was literally fighting the sim most of the time. I purchased the AV-8B and after a few hours of training and videos, I decided to load up a mission and go bear hunting. I downloaded SEDLO's LION'S HAMMER (ver 1.0) and fired her up. In this mission as I came off the target with a MIG-21 coming in hot for baby, Grunting and Twisting in the clouds above green mountains at the merge I pulled into his 8 for the 6, popped the winder and looked it in for the kill, rolled out to my next steer point with a heart-pounding adrenaline pump in a cold sweat. Thank you, DCS, RAZBAM, and SEDLO for a true moment of being "There". Boner
todd022 Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Agreed. Been flight simming since the early 90's and this module has finally brought me simming joy I didn't think was ever possible. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
kreisch Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Thanks for the mission tip, I will try it ASAP. As for the Harrier - I just can agree, this module is so much fun, incredible! At first it was just a support buy because I like the mirage and want further models to be developed like this, but after the first 3-4 hours in the harrier....damn, now I even can wait a bit (but please only a litle bit, until February ;) ) longer for the F18, just because I have so much things to learn and to master :D Ugly-Squadron GamestarPinboard
Fri13 Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 This "Harrier" module has something very special in it, that it makes you really "feel" being there. That is something very special as you don't need a VR cockpit immersion, but you can go with the 2D and just feel it. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
Sedlo Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 I'm glad you enjoyed the mission! I agree, I think for me the Harrier is now my favourite module in the game, and it's only in Open Beta! Can't wait for the future updates! (I've been working on some missions for a Harrier campaign on the NTTR map. I hope to have a 6 or 7 mission campaign up in a few weeks). Hey Mates!
