mj3437 Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 I have just updated to Win10 from 7 and am learning my way around it after some help from my son. I just noticed that I get no sound from my new Acer Predator Z271 monitor. It was fine with Win7. The monitor is not listed in playback devices as it was in Win7. Do I need a driver or is there a setting I'm missing? I have waded thru Google with no usable results. The monitor is connected to Display Port. I will be grateful for any :helpsmilie: MJ msi Z170A MB, i7-6700k @ 4.0GHz, 32GB DDR4 GeForce GTX 970 4GB, Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB Acer Predator Z271, 650w PSU, Corsair Carbon500R, MS FFB 2

hansangb Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 If you open Device Manager, what do you see for monitor there? I have Predator X34 and I didn't have to do anything. And I'm connected via Display port. Maybe you can delete the monitor listed there and reboot or use "add new hardware" to autodetect it again? hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1
