[RESOLVED]STEAM DCS WORLD WILL NOT LAUNCH IF THE SPTIFIRE MOD IS ENABLED

I just wanted this posted in caps in the title so if people are wondering what to do about their DCS world not launching, maybe this will help them.

As of last night February 6 the Spitfire DLCs are now working on Steam. I guess the (2nd tech support ticket I submitted did the trick). I'm now flying the Spit in the Epsom Campaign.

1. @josche. You are welcome. That is the reason I posted it in Caps in the subject line. I spent several frustrating hours searching forums, installing, uninstalling before I managed to find the solution. Then I noticed trek's post on this forum.

 

2. @trek. Thank you for the update. I will try it out when I get home from work tonight.

If you have any trouble with the Spit DLCs showing up in game: Remove the ones you already have manually and delete them. Then go into your game library and right-click the DCSW Icon and choose the "downloadable content" line. Uncheck both Spit DLCs and then check them again.

 

After they both download: Go to Properties and run the "verify integrities of game files" process. After it completes then start DCSW.
