Hi guys,

While the new 2.5 beta is definitely a step forward for DCS, I was wondering if there is a way to improve the trees appearance when using Deferred Shading OFF. Currently these are especially in spring/summer very light green and lacking form = not so realistic. With Deferred Shading ON it is better, but on my GTX970 it comes with low FPS.

Thanks,

A

This has already been reported several times.

Try rebuilding shaders:

Some tell it's working.

For some, including me, it didn't solve the bright trees issue, but at least I gained some fps and can now enable DS, which for sure solves the problem.

Thanks for the advice dax. In my case deleting the settings didn´t have any effect. Probably because I already had a clean install.

I changed to letting nvidia control aa and now I can use deferred shading on with aaX4 at approx. 40-60 fps (vsync on). 40 is when looking at high poly models.

Next stop: shadow flickering.
