unairspace Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 Hey guys, I have this issue almost every time I play (both online or offline missions) that with controller input (X, Y, Z axis), there are lags every few seconds. If I leave the controller with no input like under autopilot mode, the game is running nice and smooth, as soon as I touch the stick or throttle lags come back. I have no prove that this is 100% caused by controller because I get lags free experience say 2 times out of 10 which confuse me. Need some helps here, thanks. My rig: i7 8700K, GTX1080ti, 16GB memory, Win 10 pro+X-55 controller (workable driver version, working fine under P3D)
unairspace Posted February 13, 2018 Author Posted February 13, 2018 I did some test flight today with FPS display on. With no control input the sim maintains a steady 60fps. After take off (UH-1) with controller input, lags come in, with 1-2 second of time interval FPS drops to 45-50 very quickly and then back to 60, and then drop and then back. I tired delete the shader folder and the sim runs very smooth for the first 5-10 minutes and then lags come back again.
hansangb Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 It could be USB driver related, I guess? Or USB power savings feature? Maybe try disabling the microphone and network card? Some have seen improvements. You can also use process explorer to see what files/services coincide with the lag. Or maybe using a USB card that shares PCI lanes with the video card? (that last one, I'm grasping at straws) Finally, use GPU-Z to make sure your PCI is using gen 3 @ 16x. hsb HW Spec in Spoiler --- i7-10700K Direct-To-Die/OC'ed to 5.1GHz, MSI Z490 MB, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3, NVMe+SSD, Win 10 x64 Pro, MFG, Warthog, TM MFDs, Komodo Huey set, Rverbe G1
