I have been surfing many forums for a while now and I still haven't found what I'm loooking for ...

So I wonder ...

You want to test to make some new skinn

1. Is it possible to place the .bmp file in folder \temptexture so it will replace the file inside the Worldtexture.cdds. ???

2. The drawback of not replacing it in the file Worldtexture.cdds is that it will reduce the memory a bit. ??

3. Does anyone know any link or some info on what file inside Worldtexture.cdds goes to what.??

Like .. a picture of the object and what files it have for the uv mapping.

I want to make some skinn on the vehicles... And at the end to swap a vehicle for exampel a boring lorry to a excavtor.

4. the tool for export from 3ds to .lom is't compatible with 3ds ver 9 ?

Interesting link ...

http://www2.theflaggs.com:8080/lockon/lomactweaks.htm

Anyway for all us newbies ...

If you export a .bmp from the worldtextureXXX.cdds amd put it in temptexture it will used instead of old one in worldtextureXXX.cdds.

A exported picture can be rezied if you keep the relation between hight end width. Use the default "size groups" 64.. 128.. 254.. 512.. 1024.. etc but I think you can what resolution you want.
