Well I think I know what it will be.

 

Thee will be 3 o 4 faces to it and at least three phases to completion because of availability of products.

 

The faces are helo, ga/comm, fighter, and racing

 

The helo will consist of the Pro Flight Trainer Puma and SpeedMaster Flight with the oculus rift hmd using voice Attack with Viacom Pro profile with chatterpack it also has the jetseat cushion with SimShaker for aviators. I’m using a nice arm mounted mic for recording and the rift speakers at this point. I’ll be looking for a head mounted mic in the future. I’ll be adding dampers to the collective and trim pedals in near future and once the design is complete they will be added to the cyclic. The jetseat cushion may be replaced by a custom one if it doesn’t fit well in the speedmaster flight.

 

The fighter pit will probably use the front end of the speedmaster flight if I can mount my throttle on the left side and stick in the center if I like that method otherwise it will be on the side like an f16. If possible to mount ga/comm throttle on rt side and yoke in center along with the fighter setup it will save on setup. It will have the va and jetseat also .

 

If the above works then I’ll take my wheel stand pro and mount my mad catz racing controls to it if not I’ll make a mount it will get voice attack and jetseat with the ss wheels

 

Phase one is what I have or will have in on order soon the order being the speedmaster flight setup as possible here is what I have on hand

Phase two

The above plus speedmaster flight and vkb tecs when it is released

Head mounted mic

And possible honeycomb yoke and throttle when released

 

Phase three

All mounting structures for each of the three or four faces that will be interchangeable with the speedmaster flight front end

 

The helo controls beefed up with dampeners every control with its own mount that is stable and functional plus perfect mounting to the sm flight chair.

 

The ga/comm eventually upgraded to the honeycomb yoke and throttle with perfect mounts and using either my current wsp or a custom mounting frame

 

The fighter will eventually consist of a vkb gf2 Pro w/mcg pro &ext plus the tecs and pedals mounted to the sm frame if possible if not custom mount

 

The racing pit will use the mad catz racing controls un a custom mount, the sm mount or wsp depending on was isn’t being used by others as I’m not much of a racer but never tried it in vr yet.

 

If I had room both sq footage and height I might do like trip Rodriguez with his 6dof platform using replace the platforms that could be changed with added fasteners and a usb hub on each platform.i would also need storage for the two or three extra platform.

 

I think by the phase three prior to 6dof motion platform I should have everything my this time next year.

 

Unlike trip I do not want actual panels at this point I’m hoping clickable cockpits with hands with or without special gloves will be here why invest in physical when you can have virtual.

 

What plugin/vr too have I missed that I need to plan into one of the pits?
