spetsnaz26 Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 1. I believe it's the steamVR loading screen with the dancing three vertical bars in the lower center of a dark grey square. Problem is it almost always pops up at the most inconvenient time in-game. Once it hijacks the game you can't make any input but can still hear the sound effects. It certainly is very very annoying. Is it possible to get rid of this somehow? 2. Another major source of frustration is the game going out of focus without me knowing in VR. This can happen when the mouse somehow goes out of the window (even when the option to keep mouse in window is ticked) and inadvertently clicked other icons on the task bar. This also happened once when an itune update window popped up. The end result is not being able to see the cursor in the cockpit but in one case I was maneuvering and lost control because even stick inputs didn't register in game. Any solution?
frogger Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 1. lower your graphics settings , this happens when your computer is strugglling to render. i get it all the time as i have a low end pc. 2. press alt + enter to put the vr window into fullscreen. when u first start dcs with vr it only shows on the center of your normal monitor. if u look to the side and click your mouse is no longer over the dcs window and clicks out of dcs world.

I have a Samsung Oddesey (1440 x 1600 per eye) and my rig is i5 8600k OC @ 4.8 GHz 16GB RAM 1080TI OC @ 2025 GHz I get those loading screens even with everything set to low and the resolution set as close to the native one as I can set! In the past if I started the game in Oculus mode (not steam VR mode) they would not appear but in december they started appearing even then. :( @frogger did lowering the settings help get rid of them for you?
