Distiler Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 (edited) I've been following the memory problems for some weeks and I'm one of those I can't play multiplayer missions anymore. Even tough we have been told there is not a bug with memory management, there is something strange going on. I'm attaching a log of a really weird thing that happened today and I don't think I've read anything similar. The steps were the following: 1- I've swithed off deferred shading, just to test if there was something wrong with it and MP. 2- I've loaded in the mission editor the 104th Operation Longbow. 3- I've launched the mission in single player, from the mission editor. It took some minutes, but after that I was in the cockpit (fps down and up, from 10-50, very unstable). 21GB of video memory reported. 4- I've exited, returning to the mission editor. 5- I've exited the mission editor and launched multiplayer interface. 6- I was about to try to join the 104th but finally I've decided to join another big server with less latency (DCS-NL). Around 20 players reportedly in it. 7- After some minutes of loading, the game did not start, but the debrief screen of single player/ME launched Operation Longbow (!!!) appeared. 42 GB of video ram reported (x2 the previously reported). That has no sense, because I launched another mission, and not from the mission editor but from the multiplayer screen. 8- I quit the screen by selecting the return to the mission editor button and the red/blue/observer screen appeared for some seconds (???), after that I appeared to the mission editor with the Operation Longbow loaded. It seems many stuff was kept in memory, even the previous loaded mission!Logs.zip Edited April 10, 2018 by Distiler AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
