hflag Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 I think nothing has really been made on the Huey Cockpit or maybe a quick global fix. In 2.5.1, it's different, no doubt, but it's still too dark and so so dull and lifeless. My post below in this thread and the excellent and demonstrative post by Tim_Fragmagnet (Dec. 2015 !) about specular maps are still very relevant. Except for the overhead green windows that are too dark today. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=190221 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=155792 Just make a 360° turn in the A10C under a sunny sky and do the same 360 in the Huey. The difference is dramatic in terms of interaction between light and cockpit textures. In the A10 C, we can observe a true to life very wide range of exposures on the textures as the turn progresses. In the Huey, the cockpit is in shadow or not, period ! In a nutshell, I (we, I guess) would like to see the cockpit reflexions, the windshield dirt, the transparency level of the green overehead fixed and most of all the the interaction with light come to life again. Dear Belsimtek, I don't really understand your deafening silence on those questions from december 2015, can you please communicate on this ? Your fantastic Huey deserves it :-)
SnowTiger Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 Please go easy on the windshield dirt. I can do without it at all. My Ground Crew is nice to me. They keep my glass clean ! hflag Posted May 1, 2018 Author Posted May 1, 2018 Yes, I was thinking of something very subtle for the dirt. And with a well calibrated cockpit reflection, dirt wouldn't be necessary at all. For now, the Huey seems to have unglazed windows which somewhat kills the VR immersion.
