tom1502 Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Hi all, I'm creating an OCU for the Harrier and I've set up some ranges. What I would like to do is record accuracy of bomb attacks and given an indication to the pilot as to whether or not they were close to being on target through the use of coloured flares. Is there a way to get a bomb impact to trigger events, without blowing up a target? The only way I can think to do this is to place a unit, make it immortal, and then drop bombs on it with the trigger relating to the death of a unit, thing is it won't die, so I don't think that will work. Can it just be that I creat a trigger zone and if a bomb ralls within it then it sents up a green flare, if it falls in another zone then it send up a red flare. I'd really like to learn to script so that I can start do to these things myself, but I have no clue and I don't really know where to start or look for stuff specific to DCS...and time is a factor as I have young kids! mwd2 Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 The Simple Range Script from Ciribob is working: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2633131&postcount=1 Playing: DCS World Intel i7-13700KF, 64GB DDR5 @5600MHz, RTX 4080 ZOTAC Trinity, WIN 11 64Bit Prof. Squadron "Serious Uglies" / Discord-Server: https://discord.gg/2WccwBh Ghost0815
tom1502 Posted May 2, 2018 Author Posted May 2, 2018 Brilliant! Thank you! I'll see what I can do with that! Windows 10 Home - 64 Bit Intel Core i7-9770K 32GB DDR4 RAM Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti Oculus Rift S
funkyfranky Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 Here is another approach. Actually also heavily based on Ciribob's great script but using MOOSE. https://flightcontrol-master.github.io/MOOSE_DOCS/Documentation/Range.html A warrior's mission is to foster the success of others. i9-12900K | RTX 4090 | 128 GB Ram 3200 MHz DDR-4 | Quest 3 RAT - On the Range - Rescue Helo - Recovery Tanker - Warehouse - Airboss
