CptTangerine Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Hi I just upgraded to an Asus GTX1080 card to power my Vive as mt GTX970Ti seemed to be struggling in DCS. I have installed the new card and it runs games fine but I have noticed that there is a crackly sound through the audio when I'm playing on the Vive. I was on the Vive this morning, before I put the new card in and it was fine. The audio issues seem to get worse when the card is having to work harder. I was playing Subnautica and the crackling wasn't too bad until I moved my head. I have tried playing non-VR games and there are no sound issues. I am assuming that the problem is something to do with the audio through HDMI. Has anyone come across this issue or any idea how to fix it? Cheers! CptTangerine Posted May 11, 2018 Author Posted May 11, 2018 I seem to have solved it. I disabled the Vive in the Playback Devices and then re-enabled it. No crackling since then.
