ScopeDope Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Ever since the last couple patches, 2.5.1 the Mi-8 seems very unstable. Game crashes while starting up on FARP pads, flying to sling load, etc. I recently formatted and am now playing on new windows/DCS installation, same effect as before on my old OS system. Separate but maybe related issues are problems hooking cargo, sometimes the rope just spins above the cargo and never hooks, sometimes you can lift the cargo but the line never goes "tight" crew chief keeps saying "take tension" meanwhile the cargo is hanging under the helicopter with a limp line.
SliderCDN Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 On DDCS server, singleplayer or editor, myself and several other people are unable to sling anything about 95% of the time. Sim just crashes without error.
ScopeDope Posted May 22, 2018 Author Posted May 22, 2018 Here's an example of the frustration with this module right now: I am trying to sling load online: -First crate is very late to sling (hovering stable over it for 20+ seconds before it hooks (normally about 5) -Second crate locks up hardcore when in the hooking zone. I thought it completely froze like it normally does, but instead just enough so the helo crashes -I respawn, as you can see during startup game CTD https://streamable.com/nc98b
