Shepherd Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 I installed DSC on a no-director harddrive. When selecting missions, campaigns, training missions I have no access to the missions that are on the same drive as DCS. Is this the way it is designed or am i missing something. I have many Maple Flag practice mission I want to access. How do i get access to these without copying them to my c drive where they will not be updated automatically if updates are done.
David OC Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Any missions you have downloaded .miz Files Place them here C:\Users\(Your PC User Name)\Saved Games\DCS(Beta etc)\Missions Accesses them by going to Missions --> Click on (My Missions) at the top. Or Through the mission editor --> Open File ---> Click on (My Missions) at the top. These files will not be changed when DCS updates. i7-7700K OC @ 5Ghz | ASUS IX Hero MB | ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX | 32GB Corsair 3000Mhz | Corsair H100i V2 Radiator | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500G SSD | Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD | Corsair HX850i Platinum 850W | Oculus Rift | ASUS PG278Q 27-inch, 2560 x 1440, G-SYNC, 144Hz, 1ms | VKB Gunfighter Pro Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Download PDF Tutorial guides to help get up to speed with aircraft quickly and also great for taking a good look at the aircraft available for DCS before purchasing. Thanks so there is no way to click on missions (my missions) and search through other hard drives...only the C drive is searchable this way?
David OC Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Thanks so there is no way to click on missions (my missions) and search through other hard drives...only the C drive is searchable this way? Doesn't seem like it? I have only ever use the My Missions under C:\ user The files are quite small and I've never seen DCS update this area. The only way I see how you can play a mission that's on another drive is through the mission editor. Open file then scroll all the way to the bottom in the left hand menu, there you can select any drive. Then play the mission using the launch button while still in the editor. i7-7700K OC @ 5Ghz | ASUS IX Hero MB | ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX | 32GB Corsair 3000Mhz | Corsair H100i V2 Radiator | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe 500G SSD | Samsung 850 EVO 500G SSD | Corsair HX850i Platinum 850W | Oculus Rift | ASUS PG278Q 27-inch, 2560 x 1440, G-SYNC, 144Hz, 1ms | VKB Gunfighter Pro Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Download PDF Tutorial guides to help get up to speed with aircraft quickly and also great for taking a good look at the aircraft available for DCS before purchasing.
