Rotary Switch

Which rotary switches have you guys had good luck with? I'm planning to do my radio controls and I want to plan the rotary selection switches. What do you do when there are situations where there are 3 or 4 selection choices?

Do you want rotary encoders potentiometers or rotary switches? I use rotary encoders from either leobodnar.com or all electronics.com

These ones are 12 position but there is a washer with a tap so that you can lock how many positions you want. I have marked the washer in the attached photo.

Cool, that looks like a cool way to go.

 

I would like to check out rotary encoders for spots that would otherwise be potentiometers.

From what I have read on here there are some problems with potentiometersbeing too noisy?

True check out Leo Edgar.com they have both for sale. I use there encoders when I can’t get the shaft mount elsewhere
