DCS No Ingame Sound, Even on the Menu

This is my first post on this forum, sorry if its in the incorrect thread, just didn't know where to post it. I have a pretty rare issue. I am a first time user of DCS and I have just gotten the F/A-18C module and while in game there is absolutely no in game sound from the game itself or the menu whilst still being able to talk with my colleagues over discord. Just to be sure nothing was wrong with my headphones I booted up another game (Squad) and in game sound worked fine, opened a you tube video also, sound was still there in the headphones and all but as soon as i boot up DCS, it has no sounds but I am still able to hear my colleagues and videos that I open up in the background. A workaround I have found was setting my Headphones as the default output device in discord and made my stereo speakers as my default on playback devices and I can hear the game through my monitors speakers but my colleagues over discord through my headset. Extremely strange that I cannot figure out how i can get the games sound to come through my headset. Is there an issue with wireless headphones in this game?

 

 

 

I am currently using old headphones called the Afterglow Prismatic Wireless Headset (they are a bit old)
