Zoltar Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I am facing a strange issue while flying with AI wingman. For the sake of practicing formation flying, i select the wingman aircraft in F2 mode and hit Alt+J to switch to wingman cockpit. This way i can fly as a no.2 and practice formation flying with the AI. However, when i hit Alt+J to switch cockpits either on runway or taxiway the nose wheel is damaged, it fails to retract after takeoff. As a workaround i switch the cockpits after takeoff...but is this a bug or am i missing something here?? :pilotfly:
Zoltar Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 This seems to be problem in FC only. Thats SAD... http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=6814&highlight=formation+flying Can I expect any help from ED :helpsmilie: Zoltar
Weta43 Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Sounds like a bug - but as soon as you jump into the wingman's cockpit that plane will become #1 anyway & they'll try to reform around you ... (as was said in the thread you linked to) Cheers.
Zoltar Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 but as soon as you jump into the wingman's cockpit that plane will become #1 Nope...this doesn't happen. I guess it depends upon the a/c which is designated to be #1 in Mission Editor than the player. When you switch cockpits, the AI assumes lead and kind of zooms to the way point.
VMFA-Blaze Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 That's the way that I see it as well... #1 will always be #1, no matter if you're in the pilot seat or not.... But I never experienced the damaged nose wheel.. I'm not totally sure but this could have been set in the mission builder.. It's probably not but it was just a thought....:dunno: ~S~ Blaze intel Cor i7-6700K ASUS ROG MAX VIII Extreme G.Skill TridentZ Series 32 GB Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SATA II ASUS GTX 1080/DIRECTX 12 Windows 10 PRO Thrustmaster Warthog Oculus Rift VR
