permanent pre-set radio channels per map...

Is it possible to create permanent pre-set radio channels for each map you fly for the F18?

If not, does it have to be done on a mission by mission basis in the mission editor?

If you are looking to do this I would just setup a generic template first for that map and F/A-18. Have Items in the template you might use all the time, you can always delete things. AWACS, tankers, Ground units so you can rearm and refuel etc.

 

There is a separate (tab) under the F/A-18 menu in the editor that allows you to change all the presets to both the radios.

 

Then when creating any missions you will always open this F18 NTTR Template or F18 PG Template first and (Save As --> Mission 1 etc) Then set the time of day, weather and way points etc.

 

Mind you, some do like to just lookup the airport tower frequencies and just punch in the numbers in on the UFC on the fly.

Thanks David OC, yes this is what I thought however I was hoping there was a .lua file that I could put my presets into so they would be available/active no matter what mission I flew even if I was flying someone else's mission in multi player.

I do hope one day ED will have data cartridges on the aircraft that support them Wish list here. This would also include flares and chaff programs etc.

I noticed left-ctrl+\ opens Main menu for comms on the upper left screen, what's it for?

Also would anyone know if auto pilot, baro, hsel can be keyboard mapped?
