Temperamental AWACS

Scenario:

 

E-2D Hawkeye on station at 24,000ft

Radio frequency set to 243MHz AM with easy communications off

Multiple clients all in F-18's

 

Issue:

 

When asking the AWACS for information, it very rarely responds and does not give any updates.

 

• Radio set to the AWACS frequency using the Manual mode for the ARC210.

• All clients can hear each other when asking AWACS for 'Picture'

• If AWACS does respond, only the client that asks hears the response
