nighthawk2174 Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 Me and a buddy were testing out the Aim-7's the other day and we noticed that the AIM-7's (when fired by the F-18 ) would continue to track even after I lost lock. This loss of the lock was often after just a simple barrel roll. But whatever the case this should not be happening... below is a link to a tacview file of the whole testing engagement.... the two big examples I noticed were: 20:50-21:05 (if this were rlf the proximity fuzes SHOULD have killed my buddy) 28:40-29:00 (where the missile was defeated kinematically but if he had flown straight he may have been hit) https://www.dropbox.com/s/nvorwyi7rhp588y/missiles_data.lua?dl=0

WindyTX Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 Saw the same yesterday Radar appeared to go into mini Aquisition mode, also after a fairly mild barrel roll. Missile still hit the target.
