Highwayman-Ed Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Playing around with the mission editor it's pretty easy to get the infantry to run around at their default speed, but when trying to create a patrol pattern or something where the troops are walking, it's near impossible to get them to just walk and they end up stopping, walking, trotting, then stopping dead, then running around it circles and so on. Could we get an advanced way point action to 'Walk' 'Run' or 'Sprint' to make full use of the animations that you have made? Weta43 Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 I think they get confused about the formation they're trying to hold. Try setting the speed to about 3km/h for a single unit. they pretty much just walk (I think they also have some sort of distance @ time logic. If they slow for a corner, they run a few paces to get back on time and speed). Then try adding another unit to the group and set the formation to custom at both ends of the path. I think they'll just walk nicely then (as long as they don't meet obstacles :) ) They also tend to get mixed up if the formation is wide, and they turn a sharp corner - I'm pretty sure the "center of gravity" of the group is what the speed is applied to, and parts of the group end up moving fast & in odd directions to get that moving in the right direction at the right speed...
