Any launch warnings you’re getting in the Hornet are from the RWR recieving different radar data from whatever is locking you up indicating that it’s swapped from tracking you to guiding the missile. This works very differently to a MLWS system like the A-10 and M2000 have. These use various (usually optical) sensors to “see” a missile launch happening around you and warn you of it. These will warn you of IR guided missiles which otherwise won’t show up at all on your RWR. The F-18 doesn’t have a MLWS system, your MLWS is your mk1 Eyeball, you should be aware of this distinction and the limitations of the F-18 and adjust your flying accordingly.

That explains why the sa19 doesn’t give launch warnings. The previous chap posted a link and it talked about the radar of the sa19 using TWS to track up to nine contacts with the ability to launch on 3 or 4 (the documentation said “3 or 4” like the authors weren’t exactly sure of the #.)

Since the RWR also doesn’t provide range info (the sa19 will shoot you out of the sky while it stays on the outside of the rwr lethal zone ring), how does one stay outside of its WEZ?

identify it before the mission, then avoid it, or fly above it's maximum launch range (25,000 should probably be enough)

Not particularly realistic, the SA19 is highly mobile. This is common DCSitis problem folks have, since IADS nets are really not modeled well in DCS. IRL SAMS are mobile unlike how most are portrayed in DCS (especially online), a SA-19 is gonna be motoring along with a tank company or something IRL, not sitting out in the middle of a field having some coffee or vodka. No SAM battery commander is stupid enough to keep a SAM system static long enough for a serious attack to be mounted against it, be that a SA-19 or S300 system. During the air campaign in the balkans NATO basically couldn't kill even the aging SA-6 or SA3 systems with hundreds of HARMS fired at them. Never mind more modern systems that can shoot down those HARMS. Its called shoot-n-scoot.
