Selection of priority missile is going weird logic.

Condition

Mission - Target practice easy

Stations - 1.R-3R 2.R-3S

Track target ahead and close to seeker tone range.

Select station 1, choose in any order IR, neutral, SAR. Notice that missile 1 is selected for neutral, SAR and missile 2 is selected for IR. Change is verified by tone/no-tone and launch gap on radar changing size. Notice sound hiccup and flicker of radar gap when selecting neutral from SAR or neutral (neutral to neutral only possible by use of the key binding). This reinitialization seems performance dependent.

Select station 2, do similar changes of priority switch. Notice that changes to neutral from IR or neutral produce similar hiccups in audio and radar display.

With neutral selected change weapon select from 1 to 2 to 1 to 2... Notice that missile selected is not changing with changes of weapon selector position. Whatever weapon was selected remains selected despite priority switch in neutral position.

Set weapon selector to station other than selected missile. Press again key binding for neutral selection (neutral to neutral). Notice that missile selection is reevaluated by selecting again neutral position and selected missile changes to match weapon selector.

Conclusions:

1. Selection logic is reevaluated when neutral position is selected from any position, including itself. Momentary disruption of sound and radar indication may result even though the previous and current logic resulted in no change of weapon selection.

2. Selection logic is not reevaluated when changing weapon selector position causing a wrong selection until priority switch motion triggers reevaluation.

Recommendation:

Change programming logic to reevaluate selection on change of either weapon selector or priority switch (possible others: emergency launch, station jettison, AA-AG, pylon power, ground rearm, etc.). Compare selection after evaluation to previous and adjust selected weapon only if evaluation result is different (prevents unnecessary/unreal tone hiccup).

Other notes: Emergency launch produces guiding missile instead of fused non-guiding missile.

After expending both missiles changing between 1,2 with priority neutral produced radar firing gap appropriate for previous missiles but with priority IR or SAR produces no gap data.
