TonyG Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 I've searched with no luck on this. What is the checkbox in the advanced waypoint options for 'Bearing' for? Should this be checked or unchecked for sea or A/A based TACAN's. Thanks, Tony 9800X3D, MSI 5080 , G.SKILL 64GB DDR5-6000, Win 11, MSI X870, 2/4TB nVME, Quest 3, OpenHornet Pit

Frederf Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 TACAN is two independent services: distance transponding and directional info. Presumably the checkbox chooses if the bearing service is active. But every unit which can activate TACAN seems to provide bearing service regardless of checkbox state. The UNIT selection chooses which unit of the ground has the TACAN. If none it looks like it chooses the lead unit. NAME field I think is a handle so it can be addressed by a script.
