Hello dear fellow DCS fans, i am currently in the process of slowly upgrading my equipment, and have just ordered thrustmaster cougar mfd's and a 11,6 inch screen that should be just enough do attach the mfd's with velcro to it and have enough space.

I have a pretty good idea how i will have to set the display up, so that i can export mfd's to the screen in the right position- but what I have found no information about, is whether it is possible to easily swap the mfd's contents.

As I have 2 mfd's + the respective screen real estate, but 3 mfd's in the hornet, I thought that it would be a nice feature to be able to have the left mfd behave like this:

default mode :

  • screen-> shows the left mfd of the hornet
  • osb buttons of the thrustmaster cougar mfd -> bound to the osb buttons around left hornet mfd

switched mode:

  • screen-> shows the bottom mfd of the hornet
  • osb buttons of the thrustmaster cougar mfd -> bound to the osb buttons around lower hornet mfd(with a shift button)

The button issue will be no porblem, I think I know how to do this in the target software, so that I can select which mfd's osb buttons the thrustmaster cougar mfd has control over-

but can an exported mfd be swapped through another mfd in the same viewport? Is this possible?

Of course I will have to tinker with that by myself, when the stuff arrives....but I wanted to ask even before whether someone already did something like that?

Regards,

Tranqu
