shawnyp420 Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 ...so I've got a sweet T.A.R.G.E.T. profile going with my TM Warthog. Only problem is, when I load the profile, the calibration for the throttles goes back to default and I can't calibrate them with the profile running since all those axis' are combined!! There MUST be a way to calibrate them.... what is it!? AMD Ryzen 5 3600, ASUS X570-PLUS, NVidia RTX 2080, 32GB DDR4 @2400MHz, Samsung 850 EVO 250GB, Corsair H100i cooler, Oculus Rift S.
Thermal Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 Umm.... define "calibration", and "cant calibrate", and how do you even know they are "uncalibrated"?
shawnyp420 Posted August 6, 2018 Author Posted August 6, 2018 Umm.... define "calibration", and "cant calibrate", and how do you even know they are "uncalibrated"? I’d like to calibrate throttle to the game. Throttle in the sim doesn’t move until I’ve moved the HOTAS about an inch. Also means I don’t get full mil power when I hit the detent. The Windows calibration goes crazy using the TM combined profile. AMD Ryzen 5 3600, ASUS X570-PLUS, NVidia RTX 2080, 32GB DDR4 @2400MHz, Samsung 850 EVO 250GB, Corsair H100i cooler, Oculus Rift S.
Sokol1_br Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 If you are using manufacturer software, don't use Windows calibration, will end with conflict values in Windows registry. Windows calibration worth little, use as last resource for generic sticks that don't came with any software - and even these benefit better from a calibration done with DView or DXTweak2.
Thermal Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Let me guess, this happens with the Hornet (and only the hornet) 1) There is a difference between flight idle and ground idle with the hornet. Without "weight on wheels" (i.e in flight) the hornet engine will not let you reduce throttle as much, compared to when weight is on the wheels. 2) You need to adjust the curve of the throttle in DCS to align the AB detent in game with the physical one. This only happens with the hornet. Other aircraft wont do this. You can test them to confirm. There are plenty of threads about both issues.
