outputting Gear and flap position indications to LED's

If I want to replicate the gear indicators, can the individual lights be output?

 

 

Similarly, as the flap position indicator is a three position one rather than an infinite position one, can I out put a separate LED signal for the up, mid and down positions? That way I could use a graphical image with illuminated triangular symbols for each, with a translucent matt black front so that the non illuminated position lights are subdued

Can be done. Helios would be option 1 I use it and a phidgets led controller for my gear lights.

 

Alternative would be dcs-bios on an arduino board. Both are well documented but let me know if you need more detail.

Thanks, will have to research Helios, I'd never heard of it

 

As for the arduino, I actually have one somewhere, will look at both options to see which is best. Any details gratefully received!

If you only want the 2 functions and have limited time, Id try for helios. Its more of a product and thus less time commit and can do alot. If you are building a pit Id invest the extra effort in dcsbios and then the skies the limit.
