Mission Accomplished but Die in the Replay

On several occasions when replaying a successful mission, my plane will crash into the ocean, side of a hill, etc. I've heard that using the fast forward function might be the cause? Any insight would be appreciated!

Do you use DCS-BIOS?

I find if I use my switch box with DCS-BIOS, the replay gets very confused.

Track replay is very hit-or-miss, as it is not a recording of the actual gameplay events but rather of the control inputs.

 

Fast forwarding does tend to exacerbate replay issues as often at high speeds your system can't keep up with the amount of processing required to crunch the numbers in accelerated time.

 

If you want to review a flight, TacView is a better (and free) option. If you're trying to make videos, it's easier to create small specific events you want to capture vs. replay an entire mission or just act as a dedicated camera man while other people fly.
