I was wondering if anyone out there has an Opentrack profile for DCS F/A-18.I just bought a Track Hat and I can't get it to work for the Hornet. It works okay with the A-10C but I still have trouble with my right rear view. Any help would be greatly appreciated

unfortunately sharing profiles isn't very useful as each person's best config will depend on a number of variables, such as camera, tracking device, angle, distance, ambient light, etc.

there are some general tips that i use every time i have to reconfigure:

1. make sure the camera is level and centered with the LED's

2. make sure you have entered accurate model dimensions

3. calibrate model position by rolling your head a couple of times across your maximum range of motion (only yaw and pitch axes, no roll). make sure you don't physically shift your head. the yellow cross will now be placed in the center of your head which serves as the static pivot point. for a cap this should be below your middle LED

4. finally test for LED overlap in all 4 corners. with a cap you would experience overlapping LED's when yawing. the solution is to make the LED spots as small and distinct as possible, which can be accomplished by tweaking the camera's exposure/sensitivity settings and physically moving the camera farther away from the LED's. if you have a PS3 eye you can also play around with the 2 FOV settings and resolutions. personally i use the narrow (red dot) FOV and 640x480 res @ 75hz
