I have not found a common theme in the crashing..

but I will include the crash reports that are being gen ..

That's the last three files

the last crash was in the training mission for the su25t the first lesson.

I had run lesson once and configured my controls with a basic setup.. I was going to run it again and setup a more detailed profile for the plane.

but never got there.

I've been getting crashes lately, which is unusual for me. I had just put mine down to the fact I've been flying the Mirage which is known to have some CTD bugs, but that could just be an accident of timing.

but could not comms menu..

I have just been reading one of the other posts about crashing..

I have followed the instructions on a reply there..

I would suggest you:

1.Remove any 3rd party Mods, can use command line "DCS_Updater.exe cleanup" to scan and check or force removal.

2.Run the classic "DCS_Updater.exe repair" to check for other corruption.

I will report back once I have had a chance to test it out ...

I didn't have any mods in. I did have the LSO mod in at one time but removed it ...

seems that was not removed completely as the clean found it.,.

The repair found nothing to repair.

I have also been reading other posts and found this reply to a post.

Bingo41, your log shows the "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED" error. This means the problem comes from either your graphics card or its driver.

You should first try resetting your nVidia control panel:

20f818d22834a3656499f67ab4c962b8.md.png

If it doesn't change anything, try updating your nvidia drivers, then restart your computer.

If the game still crashes, we'll need to look at your graphics card frequencies, through GPU-Z, or MSI Afterburner.

I'll also try this as I noticed that I also have DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED

in my logs ....

DCS keeps crashing

Count me in on those crashes. I spent this weekends spare time almost with trying to fix those annoying crahes (CTD and sometimes complete hard resets of my PC)

I tried several NVIDIA graphics drivers starting with the most new

  • 399.07
  • 392.93
  • 388.71

with no luck. Cleaning the driver off the system with DDU each time I tried another one.

Both DCS versions (Beta / 2.5.3.21235 and actual GA / 2.5.2.20785) crash on a regular basis beeing sometimes only some seconds in the F/A-18 Take-Off training session (mostly when starting taxiing to the runway) or after some minutes having taken-off and performing touch and goes.

I already have checked the DCS versions for installtion errors and also did a cleanup repair.

Attached I have some recent log files.

Plus I add a screenshot showing the graphics perfomance. What makes me wonder are those >9 GB of Video mem that the info shows.

As the GA version log files are much to big to get uploaded I provide a link to my onedrive folder: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AvwPeGZAosB0mj89606i_Yq0sTah
