233Pilot Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 Hello all, Since the last update I've been encountering a very odd type of game crash that I haven't encountered in the last few years of flying DCS. I've been flying or in the mission editor and then all of a sudden I'll be staring at my desktop. I'll open task manager and DCS will not be indicated as one of the running applications. When trying to find the crash log there is also none in my log folder. I've tried repairing with no success. Has anyone else had this issue/ does anyone know what the solution could be? Thanks, [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 409/425/441 TFS | vCVW-9 | 157 FS
jef32 Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 (edited) Hi I've noticed a more important use of swap file since a few days and I've noticed some freezes too in game. When I close DCS, I have more long time to be on my desktop and I see my harddrive working. So, since the last update, I think about a memory issue with DCS and if I launch a mission through the ME, crashes happen more often. You're not alone. Waiting the fix, I think that it's better to close DCS after a mission or after using the ME, before retrurning in DCS to launch a mission. 233Pilot Posted September 14, 2018 Author Posted September 14, 2018 I decided to reinstall since it didn't get fixed, and now it works. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 409/425/441 TFS | vCVW-9 | 157 FS
