Shack Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 I'm sure JHMCS is on the radar for implementation, but how would that work with an HMD VR Device? Intel i9 14900K @5.5 MHz, 64GB DDR 5 RAM at 6000 MHz, RTX4090, Pimax Crystal HMD, HOTAS: Winwing F16EX / Orion 2 Throttle base / Top Gun MIP / F-16 ICP setup. Genetrix JetSeat on a DOF Reality P6, 6 axis Motion Platform
TheBamse Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Just like when using screens with track-ir. The symbology will be centered pretty much no matter how you turn your head. To counter the question, why would it be different in VR? :)
kOE Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 "Day module is monocular with a 20 degree field-of-view (FOV) off-the-visor projection to the right eye" so we should see information only on vr gear right side display. That would be nice feature.
backspace340 Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 I'm hoping they'll make it visible in both eyes (blended like the HUD), the KA-50 has a monocle over one eye and it can be tricky to focus on in VR. I'm not sure how easy it'll be to read anything if it's only displayed in one eye and not the other.
TheBamse Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Oh right! I always think that it is the Scorpion that is monocle and JHCMS has its image projected for both eyes ... for some unknown reason. My b!
