increasing gain in sdef files no longer increase ingames volume

Increasing the gain in sdef files no longer increases the ingame volume as it used to.

As an example below, increasing the gain = 1 to gain = 3 makes no difference as to how you hear the afterburner. In version 1.5 it increases the volume quite a bit

Anyone figure out what the settings are now for increasing volume?

 

wave = "Effects/Aircrafts/FA-18/Afterburner"

distance_filter_offset = 200

inner_radius = 250

outer_radius = 1200

cone_inner_angle = 10

cone_outer_angle = 45

cone_outer_gain = 0

direction = {-1, 0, 0}

release = 0.2

gain = 1

you are correct about the gain.

That is used to increase the bass or "rumble" effect.

I modify these values on many files to increase the amount of kick I get from my ButtKicker.

Yes but it is no longer increasing the sounds.
