Aeroscout Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 I have lines in my haze. (see pics.) any Ideas? I have the most recent Drivers for my card, and it's brand new, so it can't be dust... Also, when ever I start a the parking area, with engine off, i still hear engine noises. (which are really loud, almost if some one were next to me and i have my canopy open. none of which are the case.) it's not until i throttle up it AB then throttle back down do the engines sound normal, even at their italing speed. has anyone else had these problems? My system specs are in my sig, if that helps you. BTW, sorry if your name appeared in the pics. these were taken on the 169th server. Black_Hawk Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 IIRC, it has something to do (the haze lines thing) with the shadows being set to full with advanced haze; try setting the shadows one level lower and see if it still occurs. 159th GAR LockOnFiles CAW Team
Ven Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 Having same issue with the sound. Sounds worse with F15. I just turn up the AB and turn it back down but a permanent solution will be nice.

Thanks... I have shadows set to all planar. I had them at full, but whenever I was near the Kuznetsov, i got this really strange shadow issue... depending on the side i was on, it would either be completely in shadow or completely lit. (this was in the middle of the day...) Ven, thank you... i see it's not unique to my system... Are you running Vista? This has only occurred on my new system, which has vista. Ven Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 I found this thread that suggests a workaround to the sound problem http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=23066&highlight=sound+problem I haven't tried it yet since I'm at work but will give it a shot tonight. And yea, I have Vista.
Aeroscout Posted May 30, 2007 Author Posted May 30, 2007 Thanks, Ven, but for some reason, I cant change them and save it. Maybe it's vista home that's screwing with me. Any ideas? Ven Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Right click on the file and properties. Check off read only. I ran into same problem. It does seems to fix the loud noise.
