LOMAC Flaming Cliffs and Hyperlobby

I have managed to log on hyperlobby, join a game, but after that, what to do? I can see the client/connect image, I can see the map, but I don´t know what to do? How can I read about the mision, how can I see what players that are on this server, how can I select my plane and payload etc. I play alot of FPS and I have noticed it´s very hard to play online with sims! Why does it have to be that complicated to join a game? With CS:S for example, I can join a game in secons with no ease, but with LOMAC I have to use a third party program, and there is now guide in LOMAC tellin me what to do, buttons to push etc! Someone give me a step by step guide of starting your won game, or joining?

 

Lets say I want me and my buddy fly some acrobatics. I want to fly the F-15C, and so do he. We want to take off from the same runway. How do we do this in hyperlobby? This is getting me frustrated! Why most it be that difficult to newcomers to even play online? :helpsmilie:

go to http://www.flankertraining.com/ironhand/flightbasics.htm and theres a tutorial on there that teaches you how to fly online. Cheers and good luck.

 

I recommend you to watch the guide to flying online as well as getting started, part I and II. It will show you some of the basics to the payload screen...etc.

I have now see through Ironhandґs excellent tutorial (people like him really deserve a lot of respect doing this for us noobs!) and I still canґt join a game. Ok, here is what I do. I enter hyperlobby clicking on a game to the left of the hyperlobby screen. Then I see how many players on. I Pick one with 3-4 players, dobbelclick and hyperlobby launch LOMAC Flaming Cliffs. Here is where the problems start. Instead of seeing coalisations, I just see the player/connect screen where you enter your speed etc. In the Ironhandvideo he goes right to select a side and plane. I try to enter "start" but nothing happens. I have Zonelabs up and running, and I have said "yes" to accept all hyperlobbyactivites. Also tried to launch without a firewall like zonelabs, but no luck. What am I doing wrong?

First, did you select which aircraft or side you are on? And i guess its best if you can post a screenshot of what you see so we can have an idea where you are stuck on.

I will post a screen soon. I discovered I have the 1.1 verison. Do I need to patch to 1.12b? I am downloading the patch now. Maybe itґs because of me having the old verison of the game. BTW: When I connect through hyperlobby, I got the same screen as if I enter network play from the game. I canґt select anything.

If you don't have the correct version (patch) you will have all the problems you describe. Install 1.12a (or b if you have Vista) and get back to us.

 

I have now downloaded the 1.12b verison, and I still canґt join a game. Here is my screen after launching from Hyperlobby:

 

BTW: If I click the "Start" button, nothing happens.

I got it to work! Had to start ZoneLabs and allow Lock On after the patch! Forgot that! Now itґs working, and all I have to do know, is to understand what I am suppose to do in the missons online!
